A typewriter with the words rewrite, edit, rewrite, edit, rewrite written on the typed paper.,

Hey, everyone! It's been a while since I've done any updates, and I'm very sorry about that.  I had nothing but RA (rheumatoid arthritis) flare after flare.  I had no motivation to do anything.  Everything got pushed back.  2025 was the most unproductive year I've ever had, and it has really gotten to me mentally and emotionally.

The good news is that I have been doing better.  I'm not sure if my stress levels have slowed down (my daughter went to Nationals for dance this summer) or if I'm just at an okayish point with my health.  Hey, I'm not complaining.  I'll take whatever I can get.

As for writing news: Gray Tower Book 6 draft two is almost done.  Finally!  It has taken so long because of the health issues and the fact that it was like 120,000 words when I started.  It's around 112,000 right now.  Do you know how much work that was to cut that much? It was absolutely maddening.  One character kind of took over the story, and well, you know the rest. I'm still very excited about it.  The book is just going to take much longer than anticipated. I am really hoping for an end-of-spring 2026 release. We'll see.  Fingers crossed.
